TB Elimination HeroesCommunity Provider TB Elimination Champions Inspiring Others to Prevent the Devastating Impacts of TB
Each year around World TB Day (March 24), the public health TB community caring for patients with TB, and stopping the spread of this airborne, preventable, and still deadly disease works to raise awareness of TB. Last year, we asked this community to nominate their partners in health care, community leaders, and patient advocates for a new TB Elimination Heroes honor to:
Showcase the work being done outside of public health to prevent TB disease in California and the heroes doing this work, and
Inspire others to join TB elimination activities.
Nominate your private sector partners doing this work to end TB disease by 3/1/24: TB Heroes Nominating Form. Write your nomination as if it were a letter of recommendation. Please be specific enough to inspire others to do the same or similar work in their own communities or non-public health clinics. See the excellent examples of nominations received last year, to the right.
We will send your nomination to the honoree with a request for a picture and a release to share their good works on this website and CTCA social media.
TB Elimination Heroes must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Initiated/led new TB prevention activity in their community clinic or CBO
