Dear Bob,
Congratulations on receiving the TB Champion Award—a recognition that is so well deserved! I can’t think of anyone more fitting to be honored for their unwavering commitment to public health, particularly in the fight against tuberculosis.
Working alongside you at Alameda County was one of the most formative experiences of my career. Your deep knowledge, tireless advocacy, and ability to navigate the complexities of TB, public health, and politics with both precision and compassion left a lasting impression on me. More than that, your approach—both professional and personal—set a standard for what it truly means to be a public health leader.
Your dedication has had a ripple effect far beyond those years, shaping my own path in public health and continuing to inspire the work I do today. I am incredibly grateful for your mentorship, your example, and the impact you’ve had on so many of us who have had the privilege to learn from you.
Congratulations again, Bob! This recognition is a testament to your incredible contributions and the legacy you continue to build.
With deep appreciation and warmest congratulations,
