Dr. Benjamin, you have been such an inspiration and guiding light to us here at Sonoma County Public Health. I started as a Public Health Nurse in 2021 and remember being overwhelmed by the complexity of TB. But you did such an incredible job of raising us all here into mini TB experts. Not only did you teach me everything I know about TB, but you inspired me to enjoy it too! And now I find myself using your catchphrases as we train our newer staff – “Nothing surprises me in TB” and the classic “It depends.” Thank you for your fantastic leadership, impressive knowledge, and endless patience. We have been so lucky to have you as our TB consultant. There is no one more deserving of this award than you– congratulations!
