World Tuberculosis Day - March 24th

On March 24, 1882, Dr. Robert Koch discovered the TB bacillus. 100 years later,  the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Union Against TB and Lung Disease (IUATLD) commemorated the anniversary of his discovery, establishing March 24 as World TB Day to call attention to the ongoing global challenge.

Light up in Red!

On March 24th, landmarks around the world light up red to commemorate World TB Day. 

On 3/23/23 the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Tuberculosis Control Branch (TBCB) released the TB in California: 2022 Snapshot and a Copy of TBCB-Provisional-Data-Tables-2022.

Together with the CDPH TBCB publication Costs and Consequences of Tuberculosis in California aim to explain the current impact of TB in California.

On 2-7-23 The Stop TB Partnership announced the 2023 theme, Yes! We Can End TB
