CTCA’s Communications Committee updated the World TB Day materials from 2021 with the help of a Los Angeles Department of Public Health Intern (See Los Angeles below).  Every local health jurisdicition public health department TB Control Program in CA received hardcopies of the We are TB brochure (English/Spanish) and Jackie Cuen’s printed postcard/business card to provide to patients. Both are linked to our TB and Me patient support page.

We Are TB members, TB survivors and current patients, supported by partner organizations are educating their Members of Congress about their personal experiences with TB and made these policy requests. 

The CDC provides these World TB Day Resources. And the TB Alliance provides these social media resources.

In collaboration with the Congressional TB Elimination Caucus 

In commemoration of World TB Day on March 24th, TB stakeholder organizations, including NTCA, are coming together to host three educational webinars for the staff in Congressional offices. The events will explore the state of TB prevention, diagnosis, and treatment both at home and abroad as well as take a closer look at research efforts to develop innovative diagnostics, vaccines, and treatments needed to tackle this often-forgotten but deadly pandemic.
