World TB Day 2017

On March 24, 1882, Dr. Robert Koch’s discovery of the TB bacillus. One hundred years later, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Union Against TB and Lung Disease (IUATLD) celebrated the 100th anniversary of this landmark in the fight against TB, establishing March 24th as an annual opportunity to call attention to the devastation TB still causes, and the commitment it will take to end TB.

United to find, test, and treat tuberculosis infection before illness, walking Market Street (SF) to end TB, 3:30-5PM. 
We’ll meet at the SF Main Library main entrance at 100 Larkin Street at 3:30. RAIN or SHINE! 
We’ll take photos there together and walk down Market Street to the Ferry Building.
We’ll carry BYO Signs to raise awareness about TB and wear Black/Red/White – the colors of the End TB logo.
Join us in this walk to raise awareness about the ongoing challenges of TB across California.
